XM and SIRIUS Satellite Radio Offering Christmas Music

Both XM and SIRIUS Satellite Radio will celebrate the holiday season with special Christmas music programming.

SIRIUS

Continuous commercial-free Christmas music will be broadcast on two SIRIUS channels through Christmas Day, December 25.

StarLite on channel 2 will play traditional and contemporary Christmas music.

The Roadhouse on channel 62 will feature holiday country music.

XM

XM Satellite Radio has temporarily revamped 5 channels to bring listeners a mix of holiday offerings. According to the XM website:

Holly - XM 103 "...the best holiday hits from the 40s through today - everyone from the Carpenters and Bobby Helms to Elton John and Bruce Springsteen. For the holidays, Holly will temporarily replace "The Heart" on XM 23"

Holiday Traditions - XM 104 "...Bing Crosby, the Ray Conniff Singers, Burl Ives, the Ronnettes, and all the great tunes from the 40s through the 60s. For the holidays, Holiday Traditions will temporarily replace The Torch - XM 31"

A Nashville Christmas - XM 105 "A Nashville Christmas...from the biggest country stars of all time. For the holidays, A Nashville Christmas will temporarily replace Luna - XM 95"

A Classical Christmas - XM 106 "...powerful array of holiday-themed, classical performances." For the holidays, A Classical Christmas will temporarily replace XM Pops - XM 113"

Special X-Mas - XM 107 "...the wackier side of the holidays. This is the novelty music that keeps the laughs coming, all season long. From Cheech and Chong, the Chipmunks, Elmo, Patsy and so many others...For the holidays, Special X-Mas will temporarily replace The System - XM 82"
